L’Oreal Paris has apologised after a man knocked the shower door of a hotel in the French capital’s Sainte-Foy neighborhood, then was charged with assaulting a police officer.
Police said the 25-year-old suspect, who is believed to have a criminal record, entered the hotel room of a woman, knocked on the door, and then punched her, the newspaper L’Oréal said.
The incident occurred at around 11pm on Tuesday when the suspect was found in a bedroom and told he was being filmed, the paper reported.
The man was released from custody after being asked to leave the premises.
L’Orèal reported that the suspect, a resident of the nearby Château de l’Aubrey area, was “taken to hospital” and that he is “in stable condition.”
Police said they were investigating the incident.
