You can make this simple, delicious cornbread recipe in a matter of minutes.

Start by mixing together 1 cup (200g) cornmeal, 2 cups (1,400ml) water, 1/4 cup (120ml) baking soda, 1 tsp.

Add 1 1/3 cups (400ml or 1,600g) water and mix well.

Pour in the baking soda and mix again.

Pour the cornmeal mixture into a large mixing bowl and beat for about 15 minutes, or until the mixture is very smooth.

The mixture will be foamy.

(It is important to not use a mixer to beat, as this will cause the batter to get sticky and hard.)

Place the corn bread mixture in the fridge for about 2 hours.

Meanwhile, preheat the oven to 350°F (177°C) for the cornflour.

In a large bowl, combine the flour, cornmeal (with salt), baking soda (with baking powder), baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and pepper.

Whisk the wet ingredients together until the dry ingredients are well combined.
