New York CITY — New York’s city-run water supply is under fire after a woman reported a “lone male” had climbed into her bathroom and entered her home and forced her to perform oral sex on him.
A woman who spoke with The Wall St. Journal on condition of anonymity says the man, who she describes as being between the ages of 18 and 30, appeared to have entered the home and forcibly performed oral sex.
“I don’t think it’s fair,” the woman said.
A neighbor who lived near the woman reported seeing the man leave the property about 4 p.m.
Friday, about three hours after the incident.
She also saw him leave on foot about 15 minutes later, according to the neighbor.
The woman who was in the bathroom at the time was unable to reach a 911 dispatcher and the police did not respond to a request for comment Friday evening.
The city says it is investigating the incident, which happened in the New York borough of Queens.
In the past, women have reported being raped by strangers, but these cases have never been documented in New York, according a New York Times article from March.
At least three women in the United States have come forward to say they were raped by male strangers, including two who were pregnant, and a man who was charged with attempted murder after being found shot in the head outside a Brooklyn restaurant.
