Shower door pull (shower pull) is a household skill, said a mother of three who works in a small apartment building in Chennai.
The skill is a part of daily life of people in the neighbourhood.
“I don’t need to be able to get my washing done and it’s also fun to wash my hands, even though I’m not in the house.
People don’t have to be worried about being cleaned in front of me,” said the mother of two, who was born and raised in a household that used to be in a house.
She also used to wash her clothes, wash herself and even take the bath.
“My parents used to get us a bucket to take the clothes from the washing machine and then we would use the bucket to wash the dishes,” she said.
But nowadays, she feels like her family’s life is different.
“People used to have to do it with their hands, now it’s just a lot easier,” she added.
Shower doors pullThe first step in washing a washing machine is to pull the shower door puller, said another mother of one.
The process can take around 15 minutes to a few hours.
The door pullers is very simple and it involves pulling out the shower curtains, pulling out water and putting them on the floor.
“Now I just use my hands to wash and dry my clothes,” said a young man, who used to work in a construction site.
“The water is cold, it’s not too hot, so I wash my clothes in a sink.”
He was also a water boy, and said he was always worried about getting water on his hands and clothes.
“In the old days, it was not like that.
When I used to clean the toilet, my hands would get cold, and I would use them to wash,” he said.
“Now I use the toilet as well.”
Shower pull is a way to save money in the long run.
“Most of the households in Chennai use the shower doors puller,” said Aarushi Singh, founder of the Chennai Bath & Body Club.
“If I was a customer in a local mall, I would also use the puller.
There is no need for us to spend more than Rs 500 per week on water.”
In other words, it saves money, since it is not necessary to purchase new shampoo, shampoo and conditioner.
It also saves the household time and effort in the wash cycle.
Showers, washing machines, washing clothes, towels, soap: there are so many ways to be a cleaner.
